Deane Bryson—Bearing Point Properties
Past Board member with a multifamily development, ownership & management background. Serving on the board is an excellent opportunity to be involved and contribute to the multi-family community in Baton Rouge.
Kali Hay—BH Management
I was born and raised in Baton Rouge and currently live here locally with my husband and 3 children! I have been working in Property Management for 15 years starting my career as a part time leasing agent throughout college. I have also worked as a regional trainer and on site as an assistant manager and property manager within this industry. I am now currently a District Manager for BH Management overseeing multiple properties in Louisiana. I wish to serve on the Board of Directors in order to continue to be involved in the local Baton Rouge apartment community and use my experience in property management to help make a positive impact on the BRAA.
Jennifer Miller—Community Management
I am the Director of Multifamily for Community Management. I currently oversee all of the operations of our multifamily assets. I have 15 years of experience in the multifamily industry having previously held senior leadership roles for firms such as RAM Partners and Cortland Partners. I have managed assets in the Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Houston and San Antonio markets. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources from Southeastern Louisiana University. I am also a veteran having served over 8 years in the Louisiana National Guard. In addition, I have earned my Certified Apartment Manager designation from the National Apartment Association. I think my knowledge of current industry trends will help bring fresh new ideas to the table. Having experience in bigger markets has helped me gain valuable insight from other regions that would be beneficial to BRAA. My management and leadership skills are top notch which is why I have spent majority of my career repositioning struggling assets and launching new development leases ups and as a Board Member I will use the skills to grow BRAA in a way that members will be proud.
Charlaina Poole—Edgewood Apartments
I am a career driven female with a marketing degree and 11 years of experience in this industry. I started as a leasing agent at one of the largest properties in Baton Rouge and worked my way up to property manager. My personality speaks for itself. I am social, full of ideas, out-going and would love to be a part of the BRAA Board.
MacKenzie Sanders—AC Lewis Management
I am the Director Of Operations for A.C. Lewis Management. I have worked in the Baton Rouge Multifamily Market since 2006. I have worked with the BRAA board of directors for the last 7 years. During this time I have been the social committee chair, President-elect, and now the current President. I believe in the association and that it is important for us to bring Multifamily Education here locally for our members and to fight legislative issues as a united team. I love the Multifamily Industry and look forward to watching our association grow and do even more great things! I am honored to serve our association and will continue to support our activities and goals now and in the future.
Supplier Member Position Nominees
Jason Bourgeois--Signal 88 Security
My name is Jason Bourgeois and I am the local owner of Signal 88 Security of Baton Rouge. I’m a 12-year Military Police veteran of the US Marine Corps & US Air Force that additionally served two years in a civilian capacity providing personal protection to our country’s diplomats in Afghanistan. I started Signal 88 Security in 2012 because I was ready to bring the level of service I provided our nation to my home state and beyond, and Signal 88 provided the perfect vehicle to match my skills with local talent, providing real solutions to real needs. My company specializes in providing high-quality Courtesy Patrols and Officers to multi-family and student housing properties in our area, as well as HOAs, CPDs, and commercial properties. I’m honored to be nominated to serve on the BRAA Board and appreciate your consideration in electing me to this position.
Matthew Edwards—Guarantee Restoration
As a supporter of the communities we serve, I understand the leadership needed to make a difference. I look forward to bringing my experience to help serve our partners in the multifamily property management industry. My goals would be to help bring best practices, networking opportunities and fun events to the membership of Baton Rouge Apartment Association. Additionally, I helped get this association a donation from the Atlanta association during the flood.
Carolyn Hackler—Priority Floors
Carolyn’s career brings over 30 years of experience in the Multifamily Industry. She began her career on site in the Property Management industry. She has held many different positions on the Management side as a Property Manager, Regional Manager, and also a Vice President of a Real Estate Asset Management Company. In April of 2000 Carolyn crossed over to the Sales side of Multifamily and has worked as a General Sales Manager in many markets including Dallas, Texas, South Florida and over the Gulf Coast States. Carolyn has loved being very involved in the Apartment Associations across all of her territories. She has sat of the Board of directors for many of these associations as well as being involved with PAC committees and others. During these years Carolyn was part of the Priority Floors Team for some years and has knowledge she brings from both our company and being on the Property Management side. Carolyn is very passionate about the Multifamily Industry and always bringing the highest level of service to her clients. Carolyn is a New Orleans native and enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and of course spending time with her multifamily friends.
Debbie Landry--Rent Path
I would like to serve on the BRAA Board of Directors to assist in moving our Association forward with new ideas, education, community involvement and partnerships. I have served the Multifamily Industry as a Supplier Partner as well as working in Property Management. I am opened to hearing ideas and suggestions from our Association members to present to the Board of Directors.
